The MPS7000 series frequency modulation radar level gauge adopts FMCW frequency modulation continuous wave technology. Its antenna emits a linearly modulated 120GHz to 140GHz high-frequency microwave signal. When the signal reaches the surface of the measured medium, some of it will be absorbed while the other part will be reflected. The radar mixes the collected emission signal with the transmission signal to obtain a difference frequency signal, which is then transformed by FFT or DFT and processed through a series of operations to obtain the frequency difference. The difference is directly proportional to the distance from the radar antenna to the surface of the measured medium, and a larger frequency difference represents a farther distance from the material.
